Under unusual circumstances, Elvis Aaron Presley came into this world the second of two identical twins, the firstborn was “stillborn” (i.e. dead), son of Gladys Love Presley (Smith) and Vernon Elvis Presley.

Elvis would be 89 years old close to the same age as my mother who is a huge Elvis Presley fan.

I am sad that Lisa Marie Presley is no longer with us. My thoughts and prayers go out to her (3) three daughters.

I also want to thank Jack Soden @ Graceland for all he has done for Elvis fans these past five decades.

Being the last generation to live through Elvis’ career, and life, it is impossible to accurately convey what it was like when Elvis was touring, recording, and plastered on the cover of magazines and tabloids.

We watched his triumphs. We worried when he got a divorce from Priscilla. We worried about his health and when we saw the weight gain and the bloating in his face and body, we hoped that Elvis would stop touring and focus on his health but sadly that was not to be.

I miss the world that Elvis lived in. At times I don’t know this world when up is down and truth is miminimzed.

The story of Elvis Presley is a true American success story. I’ve written about it more than a few times and will try to do so in the future.
